Would you like to help make the Philco Radio Gallery bet­ter? Pho­to sub­mis­sions for any mod­el Philco radio are great­ly appre­ci­at­ed - espe­cial­ly for mod­els that don't cur­rent­ly have any images or only poor qual­i­ty images.

In addi­tion to pho­tos the gallery also hosts file down­loads. If you have good qual­i­ty scan of a Philco radio ad, cat­a­log, man­u­al, or almost any­thing Philco relat­ed, we would love to include it!

We may not be able to include every­thing that is uploaded but if your pho­tos or files are used in the gallery we will be hap­py to attribute them to you. If you'd pre­fer not to be cred­it­ed sim­ply add a mes­sage to the sub­mis­sion form.

Restrictions

IMPORTANT: Only upload files that you own.

In gen­er­al this means files that you cre­at­ed your­self - either with a cam­era or a scanner.

By upload­ing a file you are grant­i­ng per­mis­sion to include it in the gallery. Images won't be sold or appear in com­mer­cial work, but they will be avail­able to the gen­er­al pub­lic. The gallery is com­plete­ly free and does not require reg­is­tra­tion to view it.

File Formats

We are able to work with most com­mon file formats.

• Pho­tos should gen­er­al­ly be sub­mit­ted in JPEG for­mat. Oth­er for­mats like TIFF or PSD are great too.
• Accept­able file types for down­loads are gen­er­al­ly PDF files or ZIP files if a down­load con­sists of more than one file.

Photo Taking Tips

The eas­i­est pho­tos to work with:

• In focus
• High res­o­lu­tion (full size)
• Radio ful­ly vis­i­ble (noth­ing on top or in front of the radio)
• Good con­trast between the radio and background
• No harsh shadows
• Min­i­mal­ly com­pressed (e.g. JPEG qual­i­ty set to 'Max­i­mum' if giv­en the option)

You don't need to edit or resize your images in any way before sub­mit­ting to the gallery. Sim­ply upload the orig­i­nal file. After being reviewed it will be includ­ed in the next gallery update.

Main Photo

The front view pho­to is the main gallery image so ide­al­ly it's slight­ly angled to see the top a bit.

Pho­to­shop will be used to cut the radio from the pho­to so that it appears on a white background.

Multiple Photos

The gallery has sup­port for mul­ti­ple images for each mod­el - and click­able thumb­nails to see full-res­o­lu­tion images. If pos­si­ble include addi­tion­al views of the radio:

• Front view
• Top view
• Side view
• Chas­sis top and bottom
• Labels
• Any oth­er inter­est­ing details
