Philco 610 Speaker Repair - mgambuzza - 11-30-2014

This speaker is in good shape, except there is about a 1/4 circumference of the outer paper that has come detached from the metal surround.  Wanted to know the best way of reattaching it (didn't want to immediately take out the hot glue gun and find this was a wrong choice after the fact).  Looking to the professionals for best advice. Thanks

I'm no expert but from what you seem to be saying, there is no tear in the paper cone, just a detachment of the outer edge from the metal frame.  Folks have described using various products for that, I used something similar to what Bob Andersen used in his 60B video, a tacky glue product.
