40-201 finish restoring question - David Van Wickler - 08-07-2015

ready for restore of finish - the case is in nice shape with normal minor scratches and the finish is dirt of course. Can you recommend any articles/threads discussing restoring the finish? I'm not looking for a museum piece, but want to keep the original finish without ruining it and touch up what makes sense.

Thanks!! DVW

Try this:  GoJo

Yes the gojo will.clean off the dirt, grime, cigarette smoke etc. After that some Howards Restore-a-finish will make scratches less noticable and freshen up the original finish without really changing it. It won't fix cracked or alligatoring lacquer.
