37-675 cabinet - w4rtc - 06-15-2017

HI all
I Have a 37-675 cabinet I have removed the finish on the top. The veneer is good I plan to coat the top veneer with Med walnut. The edge shows white wood ( I thank that the correct term) I don't know of the edge was darker or what. What do I do here, I think the white wood  should be stained or something so it will not show. Does this make sense. Joe

It makes sense...but it isn't necessary.

For one thing, white wood will not take stain very well if at all.

Another thing...the toner will cover both veneer and white wood evenly, making the color uniform on both.

I would have to look at mine again, but I think the trim on mine is Medium Walnut as well.
