Question on 70/90 escutcheon construction - catman351 - 06-23-2017

Hi:
I have a question on the Philco Model 70/90 escutcheon: what was it made of? I know there are plastic versions and metal versions.  I know the inside bottom front had the words "Super-Heterodyne."

But I stepped across one that looks like a dead ringer for a factory version, except it is made with stamped metal that appears to be copper washed and instead of the "Super-Heterodyne" in the bottom, it says "Made in USA." Can anyone tell me what I have? Pictures to follow.

Cal.

You have an escutcheon from a Model 4 SW converter, or the lower of the two escutcheons for the 470 or 490 - the one for the SW converter section. This is the only one that says "MADE IN U.S.A." instead of "SUPER HETERODYNE 7" (70 or 35), or "SUPER HETERODYNE 9" (90).
