42-380 recap - spiderdrummer24 - 10-19-2017

I'm recapping my 42-380. Im almost done with the exception of 4. Does anyone know an easy way to get the 2 line filter condensers out of the power block? And how to get rid of all the black filling? Also there are 2 other caps that are hard to get to. One is under the board and the other is below the bias resistor and buried in wires. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have a look at this thread for how to restuff bakelite blocks:

There are lots of these guys in Philco radios. Once you get used to them they're not bad at all - and I find them much easier to restuff than normal cylindrical paper caps.
