Philco Model 90 volume pot value - WyTex - 03-08-2023

Hey fellas -

Continuing a battle with a Model 90 w/single 47 tube version.  There's audible audio when turned all the way down plus some strange crackling after 10-15 minutes of use.   Volume pot part #5366 does not list a value and haven't been able to locate it.  I'm suspecting this one might be bad and have a spare.  The current pot measures 676k while the spare measures 215k.

Thanks,
Paul

Hello Paul,
One thing I would check is disconnect that volume control and hook an meter on it to
check how smooth the volume resistance changes and if you have one an old analog meter like my Simpson 260 works well for this !

Sincerely Richard

Thank you Terry and Richard.  I also happen to have a Simpson 260 and will test.
