Model 70 BC Resistor - whitmire - 01-03-2011

I'm new to the phorum and have a question concerning a Philco Model 70 (serial #< 22,000) I am restoring. The BC resistor has two sections which have buned out. The transformer tests OK, but I am replacing the electrolytics. According to the Philco Repair Bench site, the values of the part I have (# 5125) are 240, 70, 2300 and 1060 ohms respectively. Although, the schematic I have indicates the first value at 180 ohms. In any event, I have been unable to locate another BC resistor 5125 and need to come up with a suitable substitute for the 240 (180) and 1060 ohm sections of the resistor. Any advice concerning replacement parts would be most appreciated. Regards, Thom.

keep your eyes open for 1K and 200ohm @ 10w
Should be easy to find.

Thanks for the quick reply, Terry. I noticed someone on another forum had used a 50 watt resistor. Seemed excessive. Regards, Thom
