Well,

Milwaukee gun, a corkscrew and lots and lots of swearing in Russian (that does help! if anyone need a crash-course - I will oblige Icon_smile) did it!
The innyrds came out.

Hints:
1. It is to much of a bulk to heat on "low". Put the gun on "Hi".
2. Use an oven mitten to hold the cap.
3. Heat the cap to the point of where you are just staring getting that first whiff of the tar fumes. It will keep the stink at bay and also will allow the corkscrew to anchor securely in the still firm enough core.
4. Pull.

Works like a charm in 5 minutes.
