Notice the list of threads in any forum. Threads with new posts will have the little yellow "NEW!" icon next to them:
Notice the green arrows to the left of three of the topics? Notice also how each topic has a yellow and black "NEW!" to the left of each?
Hover your cursor over the green arrow; a box labeled "Go to first unread post" will appear. (The "Print Screen" function does not capture the pointer here, which is hovering over the first green arrow.) Clicking the green arrow will take you to the last post in that particular thread:
Note that this was the first unread post in the thread "I Really Want to Understand Old Radios" in the Philco Electronic Restoration forum at the time I made these screen captures (Monday evening, March 5, 2012).
Now, if you ever want to see the last post in any thread, even an old thread with no new posts, you can do this also.
Clicking the Last Post link to the left of the last poster's username will take you to the last post in any thread...even if the thread has no new posts.
