stripping paint off a 49-504I - Philcofan - 06-27-2012

The paint is really bad on this one. What is the best method to do this? What is the best way to re-glue the antenna back to the cabinet when finished.

thanks

Chris

Either paint and varnish remover, if bakelite or wood, or DOT 3 brake fluid if polystyrene (which should also work on bakelite. As for the antenna you don't have to remove it to strip the cabinet (although you have to be careful) but if it's coming off already I guess you could reglue it with contact cement.
