New guy, with a Philco question. - Guest - 10-25-2007

Hi. Thanks for having me.

I just purchased a Philco PT-7 for $20. Can somebody tell me a little about this radio? I'm assuming the P stands for Philco., the T stands for table, and the 7, I have no idea.

Thanks you.

Welcome!

Look here for more info on your set:

Scroll down to near the bottom of the page.

The full model number of your radio is 42-PT7. Yes, P stands for Philco; but T stands for Transitone. The 7 is merely part of the set's model number.
