Model 70 oscillator coil resistance - RoyG - 12-28-2013

what should be an acceptable measurement of the primary of the oscillator coil on a model 70 (<22,000). secondary windings are 6 ohms and 3 ohms. the primary is only 7 windings so should my measurement be close to zero?

As long as it is in units or ten plus ohms limits, you do not have to worry. Typically it is either Ohms or it is open, which is when you have to worry. Goes for all RF transformers.
