Alignment (currently Philco Model 44 (121) - Guest - 11-16-2005

I have a neat little book on Philco aligning, and it says to use a fibre hex nut. Looks like they don't make those anymore! What do you guys use so that you don't get electrocuted>? I'm thinking I need a signal generator...do I need an output meter also? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Fiber nut driver - Ron F - 11-16-2005

For a non-conductive nut driver, I found an old VOM probe, clamped a 1/4" headed screw in a vise and heated it with a pocket lighter, then melted the head into the end of the hollow probe. it works great.
