Did the escutcheon on the model 111 say "superhetrodyne eleven" like the one on the 112 ? There's a 111 on ebay and the escutcheon reads only "Philco". The 111 was a superhetrodyne unit - correct.

Hi Drew

No, the Model 111's escutcheon only has the PHILCO trademark on it - no other words. The "SUPER HETERODYNE ELEVEN" wording was added to the escutcheon when Model 112 was introduced. And, yes, Model 111 is also a superheterodyne - in fact, the 111 was Philco's first superhet model.
