RE: Morels
What really happened is Steve sent his henchman Igor to find him some BRAINS, and this is what he brought back.
Steve: please forget the monster project. We need you to make us more radio cabinets. |

RE: Morels
OH, I want so to melt some sweet butter with finely minced garlic, and saute these suckers up and put on top of a pile of thin sliced rare sirloin steak next to a pile of fried yams with ketchup. OK, I'll eat the greens too, sweetheart.

RE: Morels
Arran, I found them in a cleared area under a large Ash tree. I've been picking Morels at this spot for about 25 years now. I found 39 more today.
Codefox, I usually bread them with flower and a little salt and fry them. I can't have them tonight though, I'm prepping for my colonoscopy tomorrow. Steve M R Radios C M Tubes |

RE: Morels
Gosh I am so envious.
I am an old mushroom hunter, I still do go to woods to pick some, but NJ is not the best place for that, and morels we just don't have at all. How I wish to move to some New England place. Speaking of morels, it is strange because in Russia (and this is the country where many people pick mushrooms....not necessarily knowing what they do; there are about a hundred plus deaths every year, people cannot tell a Destroying Angel from Champignon (the regular "shroom" we buy at stores)) morel was considered "conditionally edible", and it was recommended that it be dried or boiled with discarding the water, and only then eaten. Here in the US they are eaten raw. |
