Weekend getaway, COARA swap, etc.
Debbie and I took a weekend trip to Ohio.

We met Gib and Travis Epling of West-Tech Services, attended the COARA swap meet in Columbus, and spent several hours in the Heart of Ohio antique mall in Springfield.

I found a really nice Philco 604 at the COARA swap. Excellent original finish with only a few blemishes. This is the table model with the dial and controls on top.

A good fellow also had two empty console cabinets marked "FREE." One of them followed me home - a 38-116.

Debbie unexpectedly ran into an old friend of hers at the meet. This lady had moved from Indiana to Ohio and married a radio collector. Really cool.

Not much in the way of radios at the Heart of Ohio, but I did pick up a chimney for my reproduction ruby red Aladdin Tall Lincoln Drape lamp and a couple books; one was a biography of Thomas Edison, the other was the latest Aladdin lamp price guide.

We had lunch at Joe's US-40 Grille in Springfield. That was very neat.

Overall, a great time was had by both of us. Many thanks to Ed Locker for letting us stay for a couple nights.
