Hows about a New Phorm topic on Philco Radio Advertising
My resent find of a Philco Auto Radio display sign has got me thinking that others out there would also be interested in other Philco Radio Advertising, would go good with your restore radios

If there is sufficient demand for it, I will add it. How about it, folks?

Philco advertising
I second that! Let's also include any "momentos" with the word Philco, such as match books, hat pins, coasters, etc. Maybe we can help each other out with missing parts or production dates or . . . whatever!
(Looks like I might have to break down and buy one of those thing-a-ma-jigs, those fancy gadgets that take pictures without film.) Michael Prosise |

Great Idea BILL!! I...., 3rd that vote suggested indeed!! Ron, if its not too much trouble to add, I would go for it!! I love old orig vintage Radio Advertising Signs & such! Hard to find those items as we all know!! I would like to know more about such items also! I do have a few nice old RCA and GE Tubes orig lighted signs w/ clock built in from the 50s.., and one large porcelain double-sided outdoor RCA Tubes sign. Each has a picture of a Tube on them, with "slogans" added from back in the days! "Best for any Set"... says GE! Vintage orig advertising is GREAT!! Also BILL , I hope it is OK for me to "brag" on you here? You are a true-blue vintage Radio Tech from the days, when tube Radio was King!! Im sure you know more about the vintage tube car/truck orig 6v radios than most us here combined! BILL, you are a true asset to any vintage tube radio forum indeed!! Thanks for being here!!!

Hey, I'm only human, If I knew it all I wouldn't find this forum interesting, but I'm glad I help you out. I have some advertising stuff , left over from my father's time , he was a elecronic parts whole seller started out traveling from repair shop to repair shop in a 1953 Chevrolet station wagon, this was the day when ever four corners had the TV/Radio repair shops, he ended up with a store ,the kind of electronic stores you don't see any more! I have a lighted HEATH KIT dealer's sign ever see one? But I think there is some interesting things out there in the line of Philco advertising ,every one would enjoy seeing and talking about

Hello Bill, Im sure we would all love to see your photos of all your great items indeed!! Perhaps, you could link photos to this website? Personally, I own a digital-camera & camcorder also, but I havent taken time to learn how to "upload" yet to this forum. I really dont know how to do that yet, and my laptop computer is limited. I figure this computer is smarter than me, because it most probably has the "tools" built-in, that I dont know how to use yet!? At least it gets me here to "cuss & discuss" vintage tube type radio repairs!! Thanks again for all your help & knowledge!! I just feel it is appropriate to forward "Respect" & Thanks to those who deserve to receive them on these pages! Since Im only 55 yrs old, I figure the best place for "real" info on repairing vintage tube radios, are shared on pages such as these, & I never take it for granted! My hats "off" to ALL you Techs on the Philco forums pages!! I learn something new everytime I look here for advise!! I also try to help newbie techs best I can when visiting this website! Thats what makes this vintage radio "hobby" we all share fun indeed!! I'm just human also, but Im learnin from the BEST right here!! Sincerely, Randal

Done.
Look for the new "Philco Advertising" forum in the Phorum Index. To get this section of the Phorum going, I've moved some topics from other sections into it. Enjoy. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |
