Rare 25 volt tubes
Im not sure anybody here has interest in restoring the old Arvin (noblitt-sparks" type metal-midget (2-3-count tube type chassis) radios?
Personally, these old sets sold under names "Arvin", "Kent", and various other names werent good AM receivers, but have a hard-to-find "pricy tube" if replacement is needed. Since my wife loves and collects these old metal-midget sets, I have electronically/cosmetically restored over 25 sets over the yrs that are in our personal vintage radio collection. The 25B8 GT tube is getting very hard to find! I have several spares, but these tubes are almost "extinct"! If any you guys have good nos/used 25B8 GT tubes for sale, lemme know. If price is right, I keep restoring these little "metal-midget" sets for my wifes preference in our collection. |

RE: Rare 25 volt tubes
I'll plug Bob Doboush. http://www.findatube.com His website is showing them at 16 new/8 used. Might want to see if he's got a bunch you can stock up with.

Thanks Exray! Appreciate that info very much! I didnt know about that tube supplier website before. Last 25B8 GT tubes I purchased was on eBay several yrs ago (2- nos). Got both for $9 plus UPS. I found another at vacuumtubes in Fla, but paid way to much for it. Im glad to know your friend Bob still has them in stock!
I will be doing business with him in the near future! Thanks again for checking on prices for me, and the "link"!! |
