Oh the pitfalls of snap decisions!

Oh the pitfalls of snap decisions!
A man met a beautiful blonde lady and decided he wanted to marry her right away.

She said, 'But we don't know anything about each other.'

He said, 'That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along.'

So she consented, they were married, and off they went on a honeymoon at a very nice resort.

One morning they were lying by the pool, when h e got u p off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 meter board and did a two and a half tuck, followed by three rotations in the pike position, at which point he straightened out and cut the water like a knife.

After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel.

She said, 'That was incredible!'

He said, 'I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along.'

So she got up, jumped in the pool and started doing lengths.

After seventy -five length s she climbed out of the pool, lay down on her towel and was hardly out of breath.

He said, 'That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?'

'No,' she said, 'I was a prostitute in Memphis but I worked both sides of the Mississippi.

Kind regards,
Terry

My wife told it to me and she heard it from a member of her women's club. I thought it was pretty tame. I posted it in Clubhouse on ARF and was immediately told that it was not appreciated and to take it elsewhere. I guess here is elsewhere. Thanks Ron for having a normal sense of humor.

Kind regards,
Terry

Thanks very much, Syl! Icon_biggrin

You don't have to worry about the Gestapo censoring your thoughts here. Obviously everyone here are adults...and know where to draw the line on their own. I've only had to lock down ONE thread here in the entire history of the Phorum...a fact I'm quite proud of...and for which I thank ALL of you.

I love devoted hobbyists. And also the fact that the profanity around here seems to be limited to the occasional accidental ground-to-self on a capacitor. Icon_lol

I've been out of the game for decades. I can't remember the last time I've gotten a significant "poke". I got interested in the hobby but waaaay back then I was a teen and there were other competing interests so I unfortunitely never learned anything.

Some tend to get a little raw on the other site. I personally see no reason to use foul language for any reason--well, perhaps, when you run a drill bit into the palm of your hand. On the other hand, a cute joke kinda off color is Icon_lol

I think most of the fellas on the other site are 1st. rate guys. The thing that bothers me isn't foul language, it's when somebody gets overly impatient if somebody misspells, or doesn't use capitals or punctuation correctly. or runs things together. Sometimes it's the result of a simple typo, but some people may not have been as fortunite as they. Maybe they didn't get as good an education, or maybe they're a little slow. I try to always, always be kind to those less fortunite than I. Otherwise, yes, fine, no problem. Even the best of us can sometimes get a little short, so I don't hold any permanent grudges and I hope they don't either. Icon_smile Of course, all bets are off with shameless spammers. Icon_biggrin

Sorry, forgot to address this previously. You are quite welcome, Terry! Icon_biggrin

I always enjoy a good joke. And there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with Terry's joke. Why the schmucks on the Alternative Radio Forum did not want it there is beyond my comprehension. But hey, that is not my site... Icon_confused

Thanks for the laughs. I just read it to my wife, and she also liked it.

Neither of us understand why the other guys didn't want it there. I'm mostly over there, but I do now have the following Philcos, so will be here more often:

620

48-1256

46-350

B-1756

41-250

Is that 41-250 the one referred to as the "Log Cabin"? That's a nice looking radio. I've got the 41-255. Both of them have quite a bit of rubber-coated wiring.
