Hello englishradioman!
Welcome Englishradioman! Was wondering (not sure of your age), if perhaps you remember a once-famous UK Band by the name of "Trapeze"?
One of my dearest best musician buddies/great personal friend to this day!, played with Trapeze! They were popular in the States back in the 1970s, signed to Warner Bros Records, and the band had hit-songs IE:, "Blackcloud", & another US FM radio-hit song: "Coast to Coast" getting mucho airplay here in the southern US states! I used to service the(all tube chassis)..., vintage english made musicians tube-amps ,IE: "Hiwatt,Vox, Marshall, Orange, British made etc" back in those days when needed! The orig 3-pc UK based band "Trapeze" consisted of: Glen Hughes-Bass L-vocs, Mel Galley-L/rhythm Guitars -vocs, & Dave Holland on drums. After Trapeze finally dis-banded, the players went to other famous UK recording bands such as: * Mel Galley orig Trapeze: guitarist-vocalist,: enlisted as guitarist w/ infamous UK Band: "Whitesnake" and worked until his unfortunate UK car wreck injuries disabled him. * Glen Hughes orig Trapeze: Bassist-vocalist,: enlisted with the infamous UK Band "Deep Purple" * Dave Holland- Power house drummer deluxe,: enlisted to play with UK powerhouse Band "Judas Priest" .... was just "wonderin", if perhaps you remember those old Rockin- days as well? Sure wish I still had a few of the fine 60s-70s era vintage UK tube amps I owned in my youth!! Cant seem to find any of the old 60s UK vintage all "point-to-point" wired Marshall "Plexi's" amps anymores,or any others that were in vast-supply back in the mid-late 70s in the USA. Welcome aboard!! Now, we can fix old tube radios instead!! Somebodys got to do it!! (hee hee!) |
