Quality Radios for Sale
Hi All,
I saw this posted on the ARF site that Sonny Clutter the "Radiola Guy" is selling off a lot of his collection. The quality of his restorations are excellent. He is very knowledgeable in radio restoration and a nice fella to boot. I have bought 3 different items from him (well packed) and he also gave me some good advice on repairing a RCA Radiola 60. He lives on the west coast. I am sure the prices will be a little high but as you can see it's quality stuff. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.radiolaguy.com/info/MakeAnOffer.htm">http://www.radiolaguy.com/info/MakeAnOffer.htm</a><!-- m --> Terry |

Some really nice sets, but I won't be making any offers until I see some better pictures. I can't even identify some of those early battery sets given the distance and angle.
I sure wish he would just set a price and discount if it doesn't sell. I am willing to pay more than ebay for nice condition, but not 2-3 times more. And I hate getting angry emails from too low offers. Phil aka Philbert Q. Desenex - Twin Cities, MN |

Still, there's a ton of really neat stuff there. Quite a haul. If I were very rich that's what my house would look like, probably. Since I'm very poor that's what it doesn't look like.

I agree Terry! Sonny is a great guy/most knowledgable tube tech indeed! He used to supply me with hard-to-find (readable-prints) radio schematics many yrs ago before nostalgiaair, or I had invested in my orig JF Riders books collection! He was actually nice enough to take-apart his Riders books, pull all relative pages, print, and even increase the sizes for easy reading and mail them very promptly! Sonny Clutter is a Great asset to this hobby we all share indeed! Guess he is just getting rid of some extra "clutter" (hee hee) so he has room for more in the future?

I don't know the guy -but have heard about Radiolaguy- and find refreshing to read that while he offers radio for sale, he also offers _free_ help. I used to rebuild phono cartridges -most of the $ went to keep my website up to host tons of free schematics and other how-to- and also offered a complete how-to on my website. That sure peed off some competitor. How could "I" offer a service and give the chance for others to do it for free at same time ? I think he'll do best posting close-up pictures of the -many- radios he has. Hard to make a "reasonable" offer otherwise...Man, so many radios! 80) Syl |
