I'm In Love
I'm sippin' a Guiness waiting for my pulse to slow down after watching Sarah Palin. What a babe!
Sports reporter, beauty queen, moose hunter, and slayer of corrupt fat cats; if she can rebuild a hemi and trouble-shoot a radio, she IS the perfect woman. I have never been a huge Giuliani fan, but he was impressive too. Phil aka Philbert Q. Desenex - Twin Cities, MN |

Re: I'm In Love
Gotta love that dual-purpose politician; slayer of fat cats AND a champion user of earmarks! And put her town $22M in debt while she was mayor...

Re: I'm In Love
You're right, Tex. Ron wouldn't let the words that describe the Clintons to appear in these posts.
Sarah Palin is the sled that Mc Cain needs to get into the white house. The party realized that ole Mac could never make it on his own. I predict that as soon as he's elected, he'll keep Sarah out of sight and out of earshot. She's too good, and too unlike him. And consider this: What if the ole guy doesn't make it through one term.....huh? |

Re: I'm In Love
Well said, Doug, as always!
My opinion: Mac is a liberal Democrat wannabe and, as Doug pointed out so well, the party put Sarah on the ticket because Mac would not/could not be elected on his own; he's flip-flopped more than any politician in recent memory. And every time Mac edges ahead in the polls, he says or does something stupid to allow Obama to jump ahead again. I find it rather odd that old Mac was about to drop out of the race during the primaries...and then all of a sudden, he zoomed ahead of Romney. Me thinks the fix is in, and Obama will be our next President. Ronald Reagan would not recognize this modern Republican party. In many ways, they have reverted to their old "country club" ways; but more so, now they want to be just like the Democratic Party. It's sickening. If by some miracle Mac is elected (and I support neither Mac nor Obama), and Sarah ends up President, we may be a little better off; as she strikes me as being smarter than Mac, and somewhat more conservative. I've been looking at our ballot for my area. We have an old hag (a state senator) running with no opposition. Too bad. She needs to be thrown out, in my opinion. H**l, I'm in a mood to throw out ALL incumbents. We have another old hag, a state representaive, who does have Democratic opposition...and I'm voting for the Democrat. This old hag forced a more stringent seat belt law down our throats, much tougher than one already on the books; she gave us (her constituents here in southern Indiana) the middle finger while lecturing us about safety. Throw the old hag out! Our current US Representative, a Democrat, voted to throw away 700 billion of our favorite dollars in this "bailout." He has an opponent, a Republican. Guess who I'm voting for, even though I know that Ellsworth will be re-elected. I could go on and on... As always, one man's opinion...that's all. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |

Re: I'm In Love
Well, as a matter of fact Ron, the name: Romney is mud in many quarters in Michigan. Recall that his papa was governor here once, after he was pres. of American Motors. He was master of the flip-flop, double talk, and horselaughing his way out of an issue if he got cornered, and last of all, the jerk who brought on Michigan's income tax. Like Father, like son.
What I envision now is what I've already said to others. We're about to see a replay of the last presidential election. It's going to be a close contest. Though Obama is playing the race card as much as possible, he, like Kerry, is the sacrificial candidate. The establishment has no intention for him to be in the White House. There is too much dirt out about him, and some of his cronies of the past are an anvil tied to his leg. McCain is a member of the CFR, and that alone is his propellent. When the votes are counted, you'll see another close count in some state, and recount after recount until McCain is finally named the winner. Just watch. It isn't going to happen, but if a decent guy were ever to be elected president, he'd be asassinated before the inauguration could take place. We've already stretched this envelope a little more than we should have, but three of us here for sure, are of a comon mind. |
