Philco 42-1010 Veneer - European Walnut?
#1

Hi Guys -

I have a Philco 42-1010 that has some lost veneer that I am going to replace. One the below photo it is the area on the front below the grille that looks obvious in its veneer loss. Anyhow I gently pulled some more of the loose stuff off to look at the back. Is this the European walnut veneer Philco liked to use?  I will attach some photos below. Thanks for the advice! -- Andy

It's French Walnut, regular cut I think, sometimes Philco cabinets used quarter sawn French walnut but that is very straight grained. Have a look on fleabay if you need some, though you may have to buy 15 square feet of it or more.
