Philco 38-60
#1

I have this Philco 38-60 radio that I bought 20 years ago.  I cant find any information on it online. Its a great piece and I am curious to know more about it and possibly the value of such a time piece because I have been asked several time to sell it.

It does work and I am able to get stations on it with the antenna held up high, I kinda feel like I am in a scene from the The Christmas Story when its humming along.

Welcome. Here's the production figures on it. Consoles usually don't bring much unless their rare or really high end.

Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift

Hi and welcome,
As Sam mentioned the Gallery pic:     http://philcoradio.com/gallery/1938a.htm#ar
On some sets in the Gallery there are artistic rendering as a  live photo wasn't available. The letter X or F after the model model number indicates that chassis is in a console cabinet where T wound be a table top set.
The technical service info can be found here:   http://www.capeoldradio.com/cor_radio.ph..._box=25308
Glad to help out if you have any technical questions.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!
