The can comes apart at the seem pretty easy, just pop it loose and sneak your wire cutter in there and cut the wires, you don't wanna break the terminal board.I'll post pics tomorrow.

Also question about the Volume control?? My schematic says it should be 10K.. I took mine out and it measures 38K.. The inside looks good as far as I can tell...

Looks completely different on in side than i am used to seeing.. Can I deoxit it? or should I leave it allong.. Will it being 38K vrs 10K cause Problems..

Neither the can or the volume control are original, both have been replaced in the past. Not real unusual.

Will have to get some caps as I do not have any of those values in stock..

Really have no clue how to do this as the can was in backward with the mounting .. and the terminal strip was flipped around and put on other end of can..

The volume control with the wheel looks exactly as the one I had on my 111, and all these early radios shared a very similar chassis.
The pot was very worn, had several times the resistance against the declared value and went fully open after one light swab with alcohol. So if yours is still conducting at an acceptable level, maybe some fader lube Deoxit, but no cleaning.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Morzh, Ok thanks for the info..I did clean it with a little Deoxit. And it helped with the smoothness .. I will check it again to see if its still OK..

Thanks

Remove the original terminal board, orient it to the right direction as shown on this site's schematic, terminal tabs pointing to the right, then reattach it to the chassis with screws.Install new mylar caps  using the values shown. Then gut the can you have and use it for a cover.Took me about 2 hours start to finish on mine.

That TOBE B Block condenser thing was a pretty pricey part back in 1926. Here's what's inside it if you haven't already found that info.

A little. I am awaiting caps to show up for the main Cap can.. I did measure all the leads that went to the can to see if they went to the right places.. They did. I also had 2 switches bad the on off one and the voltage select one.. I ordered them as well.

I took off the terminals from the cap and all is ready to mount the new caps when they arrive.. I do have to gut then can yet.. Not really looking forward to that..

Thats about all so far.. Just waiting on parts..
