Philco 37-630 - RF Signal Issue?
#1

I barely get one weak AM station (and probably no SW) until I put a test lead on the stator and gradually touch a few of the connections and coils under the chassis that head back to the antenna connections, then I get a strong signal and a few other stations. Anything forward, I get good audio tone with a signal tracer. The coils under the tuning condenser is pretty congested and before I pull it out and check coils, has anyone else had the same issue?

Any suggestions where to start, look for, or if you've had a similar issues would be welcome. I'm new to this section of the radio.

Check all coils, especially the 1st RF, don't pull them, just check continuity.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
