Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
Guys, Mikey's feeling embarassed and ashamed. I've lost my cool and ranted to the point where I'd be afraid of me if I were somebody else. I have a conservative slant on things but I do tend to get hyper. I aplogize most sincerely if I've offended anyone here on the forum. Despite my leanings I try to see the other side, even if I don't agree with same. I just see all kinds of grief ahead with this new administration. Not that I fully condone the "other side". There has been a lot of mistakes on both sides. I've been unemployed a good/bad long while, I'm trying to care for my disabled Mom, and semi-disabled brother, I worry a lot and as a consequence I sometimes get a little impatient. I'm trying to parley my dimwitted brain with my situation for the best possible outcome but maybe I worry too much, and maybe I have too much time on my hands. But you guys here are great, and most of the guys "over there" on the Alternative Forum are too. Even the occasional malcontents that gall me occasionally are, for the most part, good guys also. I guess my greatest fault is that I feel with great intensity. When I'm feeling bad it gets pretty intense.
But don't worry. It'll all work out. My best to everyone, even the occasional "malcontents , over there". Best, Mike |

Mike
Don't worry about it. I think a lot of us do try to see the other side, even if we may disagree with that other side. Sorry to hear what you're going through. At the risk of sounding like Old "Slick" Bill...I feel your pain. Thank God I still have a job with health insurance. But I am going through some issues right now myself...so join me in a few shots of Chivas Regal up here at Old Ron's Bar...and let us forget our troubles. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |

Re: Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
I understand and have to watch myself also. Kids are finally out of college, all bills paid and now my Mother in Law had to move in with us until we can get assisted living. We are in our late 40s and it is like having a kid in the house. There are times where I just shut down the PC and react later. Nothing like taking the dogs for a long walk that makes ones mind clear.
I always try to keep all of my chins up Here's another fine mess you have gotten me into. Oliver Norville Hardy. |

Re: Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
Hey Mike, dont worry about the alternative site. Plenty friendly folks right here, and yes, I have also taken care of elder "inlaws" & my personal families, mom & dad, & their relatives in my home in their latter years for months & months varied on each individuals health case(s) over the yrs! Its "part of life" , and I loved em even tho some were old democrats too!!( hee hee) Ive had to retrieve a couple elder family members from negligent nursing homes before, then find them other sources of pro- care also, such as hospice care, its not easy making decisions in life sometimes. One nursing home let the oxygen-tanks run out on its elders! I filed a notice of complaint with my Atty Gens office, and "bam", state investigators finally "cleaned house", and fired the old- then hired a new director, got things back into state-regs compliance! That process took abit of time indeed, but I gottr =done!! Its alot easier restoring vintage Philcos radios! No worries Mike!! You have friends here that understand indeed, and the alternative forums "lack" Rons offer of "Chivas Regal Scotch single malt" indeed, & they dont even have a Bar & Grill area either!!!Lordy mercy, I like Chivas, but Im out right now! I can however offer up some select " Crown Royal" I have stashed for "medicinal-purposes" only as my dad used to say!! Cheers to you Mike from TxVintageRadios!! Keep the faith, and Never be fooled by any type rhetoric, your heart knows better!Thats obvious!! ol Tex

I too saw much grief coming with the "last" administration, an it actually did hit us, and no rose colored glasses are gonna make it look any better. A lot of greedy selfish people, and some just plain stupid people got us into this mess, and I think until we stop being so self absorbed, we aren't going to pull out of these doldrums. Stuff will get better though. Eventually we will get back on track. I of all people, actually found a job, and you will too! We are Americans you know? We always pull together. Remember 911? That was really a bad time also. We have my wife's best friend living here, and I am on the outside of those two. It drives me to drinking, except I don't drink. I smoke! I think all of us here, irregardless of our backgrounds, are behind each other. So you have one heck of an alternate family here. Cheer up brother! http://www.cityprofile.com/forum/ I reserve the right to be wrong |

How about the first space shuttle launch back in what was that 1980? Heck ya! When I was laid off for all these months, depressed, I got by, simply by hugging my wife each time I hit bottom, or playing with our 5 Springer Spaniel puppies! Worked every time. http://www.cityprofile.com/forum/ I reserve the right to be wrong |

Re: Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
Yes, job market is a joke. I normally had a job as a library custodian. Right now I'd wash dishes, or anything honest. Are those your pix? "Hiya little friend!". I just love animals. I can see where a pet owner has lower stress levels than a non pet owner.

Re: Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
Mike, you're in a tough part of the country for jobs. Things seem to be down everywhere, though. Is moving to another state an option?
I joined the ranks of the self/un-employed about 12 years ago. Its been up and down but I haven't been laid off -Bill |

Re: Well, I'll Tell You Fellows.....
Hello Bill,
Unfortunitely moving isn't an option right now. I hope you're doing well. Congrats on having a good wife and 2 pets. That surely helps. I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse before it gets better. Mike |

Mikhail7 Wrote:Hello Bill,How could it possibly? Well, if you lived close by Sandpoint Idaho, I could get you a job in the construction industry and teach you the ropes! But then later, you'd realize what a stupid mistake that was, as your body falls apart!I I had a great job working for an individual who provided medical insurance, 2 weeks a year paid vacation, and provided all his employees a company gas card plus I got annual pay increases to my already $20+ dollar an hour wage. Life was good! Now I work for the Kamir Rouge, who expects everyone to work for free, so he can get even wealthier. Peace! I work harder than I've ever worked before, and my 18+ year old body doesn't like my new job much anymore. If he could hire illegals and get away with it, he'd do it. I sort of wish I was on unemployment again! Actually, I hope my previous employer one day recovers and starts up again. Romney a chance By the way Mikhail7, that is my little girl and her mom in the middle. She's 2 years old now, and every bit as cute as her other 4 members of family. I think we are all hoping things will get better, and when? Keep hugging your best friends, everyone! http://www.cityprofile.com/forum/ I reserve the right to be wrong |
