Back to Basics Please.
I stumbled upon this forum about a year ago, and have learned plenty from it, contributed when I could, and think it is great. I also support it, and acrually have a lot of enjoyment when I 'tune in' every couple of days. I can't believe how helpful and interesting this has been.

This is a hobby for me, and although I like to know about my colleagues, what they do in the real world, and so on, I have to really agree that this is not the place to debate the whole world and all it's complexities. Let's leave that to the pundits.

Basically this is an ongoing discussion about a rather narrow subject of antiques. Can we all agree that it is this, no more, no less?

Frankly I'd like to see fewer posts, but better ones.

C'mon, guys, let's not let this die.

Respectfully,

Codefox

Hey Codeman Fox! Sure! You bet! I'll come on board and extend my hand in appreciation and humbleness. I couldn't agree more on that, absolutely! There is no doubt, much more things interesting out there! I'm not working, still but do wish to support this forum when I do get back to work. So what are you working on these days Codefox? I've been advertising on the other forums for a tube repair dude in the Spokane Washington area to assist me with my model 70 this winter, as I attempt a total recap! I always enjoy everyone's expertise and even some of the crazier ideas out there. All post's and opinions are well worth the reading here. Alright then, take care everybody.

Re: Back to Basics Please.
Well, I am a programmer, and do production support for legacy sistems, (think AM radio for an analogy.)

It'll be over in another year or less.

Don't care. fixing to retire anyway.

So, no particular agenda. I like to fix old radios, though, have liked it for 50 years. Can't explain why. My neighbor likes to fix old cars. He has no better explaination.
