Radio Programs
I thought it was interesting that the night I got my 41-296X working, one of the programs that I picked up was "The Lone Ranger" it was a Christmas story from 1947, (don't know what station it was, it wandered in and out and can't be found now. It was at the lower end of the dial) then yesterday afternoon I listened to "The Philco Radio Tme" 1947 on WFRL - Freeport, IL. Icon_smile Bing Crosby and friends.
A round of beers on me to all Icon_biggrin
Merry Christmas

Re: Radio Programs
That must have been so cool! My mama turns 72 today, and she was talking today about the shows she listened to as a kid. So fascinating. She remembers the radio, but couldn't remember who made it.

Thanks Bill, Monday night I will play around with the dial around 740 and see if I can find it. Thanks,

Re: Radio Programs
If you take a listen at 900KC after 740 shows are over you can hear a few more! 900 is out of Canada too. Both come in well here near Philly.

Re: Radio Programs
Lately I've been finding myself going to bed around 10 or 10:30 so I don't hear much that on the radio. I do download a lot from the net and play them on a MP3 player. I keep thinking about building an AM transmitter and have all the parts. Just haven't gotten to it yet. Earlier was listening to Tales of the Texas Rangers on a 1950 RCA table radio thru the phono jack.
