How to Send A Private Message (PM)

It couldn't be easier to send a Phorum member a private message (PM) through our Phorum.

The easiest way is when you see a post from someone you want to send a message to, just click the PM button under their name, as shown below.



A screen will come up, as shown below:



NOTE: If your monitor is set to lower than 1024 x 768 resolution, part of the picture above may be cut off at the right. Sorry about that!

Notice it is already addressed to me, since you clicked the PM button under my name.

Add a subject line in the Subject box.

Type your text in the large box where I've written Dude, You rock, man! as an example.

When you are finished, just click the Submit button which the red arrow points to.

That's it!

Your directions could not be any more clear and that is exactly what I did. I was trying this late last
night and don't remember the details now but seems to me after hitting submit, the message box
closed up and the heading was still there but in the left side where it shows "Outbox" it had the
"(1)" indicating it was still to be sent... that is where I got confused as no matter what I seemed
to do or look for there wasn't any indicator of "send" or "submit" no matter what I tried.

Let's suffice it to say I must have screwed up somehow as I'm not that much of a novice (I think, ha)
and maybe I will try it again sometime or try replying to myself privately to test it,ha.
