Pushbutton Switch replacement
Unfortunately, the switch on my pushbutton bank just failed. The pushbutton assembly is in my Philco 41-300 radio. Has anyone found a source for either the whole assembly, or is it possible to replace just the switch?

There are several techniques. I am about to try the one detailed by Ron, with the switch from Lowes, on my 41-295 which has an open on/off switch also....evidently a common problem. If you come up with a different good fix let us know. John |

Re: Pushbutton Switch replacement
Here's the link.
http://www.philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=89 I strongly suggest you use Raleigh's method instead of mine; Raleigh's method results in a more authentic restoration. A page on my website illustrates the replacement of a similar switch in a 41-226 using Raleigh's method: http://www.philcoradio.com/notebook/41226.htm Scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page to see how I replaced this switch with a new switch that looks like the original. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand, IN |
