Philco sales promotion pins
Thought I'd show off my collection of screw-back and pin-back enameled pins
Philco used as sale incentives, tech rep, service, years of service, etc. Also included is the
Philco 60th Anniversary medallion, approx. 3 in in diameter and heavy bronze.

They are from the 30s through the 50s.

Re: Philco sales promotion pins
Thanks. It took a while. Flea markets and looking thru jewelry vedors and antique shops/malls at jewelry displays.
Also looked at mens tie tacks, cuff links, etc. People do not know what they are.
Same pin-backs as tie tacks. One is an older screw type back.

Re: Philco sales promotion pins
Thanks Mike,

The medallion was part of the radio service bulletin files and sales lit and info I bought many years ago from a
South Suburban Chicagoland Philco Service Center long time ago (my archive of original bulletins from 1928 up thru 1947).
I believe one or two pins were also in there and that got me going on searching for more.

Neat memorabillia.

Re: Philco sales promotion pins
Yes, very neat. An interesting sort of sideline to the hobby/business/madness/affliction. As a hobby for me it's a fairly recent reawakening of an old teenasge obsession. I will occasionally see a service pin up on ebay.

..and that just reminded me. I did get a couple via the ebay way.

There happens to be three up on ebay right now.

Re: Philco sales promotion pins
Neat collection Chuck. I pick up radio pins here and there to put on my hat but the only Philco pin I have is one like your Hi-Hat Club. I'll have to keep searching for more Philco items.

Do you know the significance between the red and blue background on two of your pins?

Re: Philco sales promotion pins
Don't know of any significance. I'd guess they had a few colors available, possibly?
If there was any color hierarchy, I'd make a WAG as to years of service or a level of
Philco Service Depot authorization, or something. ??

Lost in the Mysts of Time...
