Old Ron On the Air in Boston...

Re: Old Ron On the Air in Boston...
Paul's interview with me was recorded on Thursday afternoon ( 7/28 ), and for those of you who listened and have posted your compliments above, I sincerely thank you.

Yes, these shows are on every Friday night. Paul is trying to drum up interest in "Tube Talk," and judging by the responses here, it looks like there is a definite interest in this program.

I don't like listening to myself, but then I am my own worst critic. And to think I was in radio broadcasting for 12 years, on the air...geez, no wonder I never moved beyond small markets.

I also recorded the program. I am working on a solution to make the interview portion of the show downloadable for those of you that missed it. I do not feel I can make the entire program available to download due to copyright questions; just my posting the interview portion might be questionable and I may have to remove it if I do post it.

I'll let you know when I figure out a solution...

I hate hearing my own voice too! I'd say ya done real good, Boss! Icon_smile We need more of this kind of programming. Never knew you were into broadcasting. What did you do exactly? I'm sure others who are unaware of this would like to hear more about it.

Re: Old Ron On the Air in Boston...
There may be a link on the station's website for hearing past programming. They may have it archived. Update: I don't see any links to past archived programs. The portion of the program with Ron runs to 26 minutes. At present I have the complete show. I could make a CD or cassette copy of the whole program or just the 26 minutes of Ron if anyone needs it. I'd be happy to send it along with my compliments, that is if doing so presents no copyright violation.

Re: Old Ron On the Air in Boston...
Mike,

I also looked to the stations website...pretty sparce, so if there aren't copyright issues I, and I'm sure others, would really like to get a copy of the interview.

Please let us know,
Thanks,
Glenn

Hi Glen,

Be very happy to send a copy to anyone who wants one. I wouldn't be selling anything so there's no profit involved, I wouldn't even ask for the cost of the disc or postage, but I'm not absolutely sure it there would be a legal problem. I will find out, tho.

Re: Old Ron On the Air in Boston...
I've posted the 28-minute long interview portion of the show here:

http://www.philcoradio.com/tt_072911.mp3 (just over 10 MB, mp3, joint stereo, 48 kbps so voice quality only)

Please, right-click on the link and download the mp3 file to your computer instead of letting it stream.

So, for those of you who missed it...enjoy! Icon_smile

In the meantime, Paul is going to check into making archives of old Tube Talk shows available. Let's hope this happens... contact him at tubetalk1 AT gmail DOT com and let him know you appreciate this program, and encourage him to make archives of previous shows available.

Thanks for posting that Ron, I just listened and it was very informative and well done. I had a bunch of work related paperwork to finish up Friday night and I plum forgot about it. I'll be sure to contact Paul and let him know how much I enjoyed the program and encourage him to make archives of previous shows available.
