What Kind Of Bulb Might This Be?
This small bulb is out of an electric clock from I think the fifties. It has two of these in it and both are blown. It looks to me as if it might be some kind of gas bulb based on the internal filament. Reminds me of a neon bulb of sorts.
I measure the voltage across the two leads that go to them and there's 117Vac there. Has anyone seen something like this or know where to get them? Forgot the picture. Thanks, Pepper "It's Nice To Be Nice To The Nice" Major Frank Burns Mash 4077th |

HI
I would say it is a neon lamp, like a NE51 with out the base. Joe Joe Bratcher near Louisville, KY |

Type NE-2 is the bulb name.

Re: What Kind Of Bulb Might This Be?
Definitely a NE-2, I've seen them occasionally stocked in older hardware stores, or you can order them online from practically any electronic supplier or find them on ebay. If you can't find one for some reason, shoot me a PM with your address and I'll send you one.
