...And we're back, redux.

RE: ...And we're back, redux.
Sounds like you are doing the right thing, Bill, by contacting AI Squared and seeking a resolution to your problem. If their product is not working with MyBB, they need to fix that issue - and there is nothing I can do about it.

I won't be going back to phpBB, sorry!

I am not a programmer. I did not invent MyBB - I only chose to use it instead of the bloated and troublesome phpBB. It has made administration of this Phorum easier. And with the How-To articles I have been writing up in a new special section of the Phorum (Phorum 101), it is my hope that everyone will experience the improved ease of use that I have with MyBB.

Let me ask you another question. Have you ever tried the Logitech Wireless Wave keyboard & mouse? It has a button on the left side that allows you to greatly magnify your computer screen. I personally do not use the magnify feature, but I have used a Wave combo for a few years now (yes, a few years - it is well built and has lasted longer than I expected it to), and I wouldn't use any other keyboard and mouse on my own computer.

I feel you should consider it, or at least try it. I see that Zoom Text is not cheap, and the one-time $71.99 cost of the Logitech Wave might be a good investment.

I upped page size to over 150 percent so I could see what I'm doing here.
Apparently, Zoomtext doesn't agree with your version. With it turned on, my computer locks up.
I didn't say I changed my mind. I still think your new forum look is great.
The reason I didn't visit your old one that often is because of this same problem to a lesser degree.
I have all the Java updates.
I'm Running XP Pro 2003.
All updates, including the latest ones yesterday.
I use IE 8, which is the highest XP, and, Zoomtext will properly work with.
Anyway, I'm not saying it's your system's fault. There is a discrepency in Zoomtext that doesn't agree with your system. I'm trying to find it to report it to AI Squared, the owner of the program, to see if they can come up with a patch.

Bill have you tried Chrome? On any site I hold the Ctrl button and the plus key zooms in very nicely. Chrome runs much faster than IE, too (In IMHO Icon_e_smile ).

http://www.google.com/chrome

Personally, I prefer Mozilla Firefox...but Chrome is a good, fast, stable browser.

Almost anything is better than Internut Exploder...in my opinion.

Hi Bill,

Here ya go:
https://www.google.com/chrome

Download and install, I use it with a mobile connection and prefer it to others... unfortunately, because I don't care for google very much, but you can't complain about software that works.

Pretty good. Lots faster than what I was using. Less of a hassle when opening different sites.
