RE: Indiana and kentucky Storms
Hi guys,

Thanks for asking. All OK here. Icon_thumbup From what little I've seen and heard on the news today (spent the entire day in Evansville), it seems that southeastern Indiana had it worse than did the southwestern side. I'm sort of in between Evansville and Louisville, a bit closer to Evansville though. We did have a tornado warning for Dubois County (where I live) yesterday, but I have not heard any reports of damage here.

Debbie told me the ground here in Ferdinand was covered in hail for a little while yesterday afternoon. I was at work at the time...a little hail fell in Jasper but not nearly as much as Ferdinand, apparently. The radios are fine, as are the Mustang, the Buick, and Debbie's car. (And so are we!) I had all my friends in my prayers when watching this news on TWC last night! Very Glad you guys dodged the tornado's!! Seems to me this is a rare occurance, this time of year. But weather records over the past 100 years indicates anything is possible anytime/anywhere indeed. Stay safe Friends!!

Glad to hear! Two miles south of us many homes and barns leveled and a fatality in one of the close towns. It did get scary here for a few, but all we got was marble size hail and ALOT of rain in a very short time. I went to our church yesterday around noon (which has been turned over to the Red Cross and FEMA) there were soooo many organizations and people I couldn't get near to see what I could do. It is truly amazing what a community can do together to help out those who were directly and indirectly touched by the tornadoes.

Wow Glenn, glad you're OK too! I had not heard of storm activity your way. The (Louisville) Courier-Journal's reports are focusing on Henryville, IN and West Liberty, KY. I did not know until just now where West Liberty is at...eastern KY, east of Lexington.

John (Eliot Ness), I hope you folks are alright as well.

See this Courier-Journal graphic:

More info from the (Evansville) Courier & Press:

http://www.courierpress.com/news/2012/ma...cky-34-de/

This came only two days after a tornado hit Harrisburg and Ridgway, Illinois, roughly two hours west of here.

RE: Indiana and kentucky Storms
The number and path of these storms was unbelievable. I received an alert on my phone about Madison Indiana (I have a store there) at 3PM. Got to a computer and couldn't believe how fast they were moving (85 mph at one point). At that time they had projected them to go slightly north of us, they they turned slightly south and ended up going south of us. I ran home to get the dogs in the house and my Mother-in-law in the basement (not in that order). Off to join the chainsaw teams..take care all. Please pray for all those who are affected by this.

We're fine, but my heart breaks for the devastation this brought to so many.
