Briwax for cosmetic fix.
I had never heard of Briwax before. But was amazed at the testimonials about how well it renewed cracks and other defects in a finish.
Taking this line of thought to the next level, which is really something that often leads to a low level disaster, I wondered if Briwax would do the same thing for my cracked and wrinkled face??? Hmmmm..... Not being one who lets an idea sit still, I obtained a can of Briwax, took it into my bathroom, and tried it out. Guys, the results were amazing. It was soft and smooth going on my face and in a matter of seconds it BURNED LIKE H__LL !!!!!!!!! Anyway, you can't see all the facial wrinkles now because my face is red and swollen. Pyrrhic victory....... |

Yes, if my face had been a rain forest it would have burned to the ground.

RE: Briwax for cosmetic fix.
I ended up with a can of Briwax a while ago, as a matter of fact I found it in a dumpster along with some cans of paint. After trying it a few times I very quickly found out why they tossed it, about the only think I found it's good for is shining up bakelite, it's a nightmare on wood leaving brown streaks everywhere. Then I happened apon a can of Trewax, it was just the opposite, it was clear and much easier to work with on wood.

Is it true that we are no longer young?

RE: Briwax for cosmetic fix.
Not young but still beautiful. Just don't ask Glenn or Larry if that is really true about me.

RE: Briwax for cosmetic fix.
You are only as old as you feel. Of course how you feel is affected by how old you are.
But then if one feels 20 while being 50, this does not necessarily mean he is young inside. It may also men he is just stupid. I feel 38 being 51. Draw your conclusions. PS. Never used any skincare stuff, hate it. |

RE: Briwax for cosmetic fix.
Arran, Briwax comes in various colors as well as clear. I've used both a few times and have been quite satisfied with it. The bugaboo is that the newer stuff doesn't have toluene and is no good for smoothing out an old finish. You could still get the old stuff a few years ago but I don't know what the situation is now.
I keep my tinted Briwax in the fridge so that it remains a thick paste sort of like shoe polish. Straight out of the can at room temp its too liquidy and I can see where it could go on streaky. |
