Happy Holidays Friends!!
It is this time of the season I reflect on all my good Friends & Family that helps me make it thru each year! I would like to say "special thanks" to all my new friends here that are great vintage radios restorers that welcomed me here on the Philco Phorum this yr! Your knowledge of helping me thru difficult repairs is mucho-appreciated!! I have been fortunate in the past several weeks on my repair bench!Recently, I havent had any previously "hacked" vintage radios, & I consider myself lucky! JF Riders covers most, but not all correct data. People keep finding me to do their restorations by word-of-mouth. In the past many weeks, I have successfully completed electronic & cosmetic restorations on 2- vintage Philco 1936-38 tombstone radios, 1- 1933 American Bosch early superhet tabletop, 2 - 1941-42 small Philco tabletops ( all new point-to-point wiring under chassis's), and 2- 1936-37 model Truetones AC trans sets, & 1 1936 Crosley AC trans type tombstone. I just received another Truetone D-1002 for restoration, and another small Zenith 6D-xxx model tabletop blue-mirror dial ( that will need point-to-point) rewire . Those small-chassis w/ crusty wire are rascals indeed! Anyways, I hope Santa remembers to bring all you guys a new roll of "solder", ... cause that is always a great gift indeed!! Happy Holidays fellow restorers, and Thanks again for helping me with great info when I need help!! The Best thing about this hobby is ALL the Great Folks you meet along the way!! Randal, sorry I missed this thread earlier...sounds like you have had a successful 2007...may your 2008 be even happier and more prosperous! And be sure and read the virtual Christmas card I left for everyone in another thread.
