Anoth\u00ader com\u00adpa\u00adny that had spe\u00adcial\u00adized in bat\u00adtery elim\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtors, Majes\u00adtic (Grigs\u00adby-Grunow), had made a big splash in the radio indus\u00adtry in June 1928 with its own new line of radio receivers. Majestic's sets fea\u00adtured a new type of speak\u00ader - Elec\u00adtro-Dynam\u00adic - and the Majes\u00adtic radios pro\u00adduced thun\u00adder\u00ading bass which proved to be very popular.<\/p>\n<p>Philco's ini\u00adtial radio line\u00adup had used high-imped\u00adance mag\u00adnet\u00adic speak\u00aders. Thus, Philco slight\u00adly refined the basic 511 cir\u00adcuit\u00adry, adding a push-pull out\u00adput stage and their own elec\u00adtro-dynam\u00adic speak\u00ader. The new set became Mod\u00adel 86. (The 25-40 cycle ver\u00adsion of Mod\u00adel 86 was Mod\u00adel&nbsp;82.)<\/p>\n<p>It appears that Mod\u00adel 86 was nev\u00ader offered as a table mod\u00adel set, only in con\u00adsole&nbsp;form.<\/p>\n<p>Philco's new radio line was slimmed down con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00adably from six months before. A few 511 Series sets were retained in the Philco line\u00adup: the Span\u00adish Brown 511 table mod\u00adel, the 531 Low\u00adboy, and the 551 High\u00adboy. How\u00adev\u00ader, the hand-paint\u00aded mod\u00adels (512, 513, 514, 515) were discontinued.<\/p>\n<p>A new low\u00adboy was intro\u00adduced, with no drop-down door and a dif\u00adfer\u00adent grille open\u00ading. It became Mod\u00adel 591 (with the 511 chas\u00adsis) and Mod\u00adel 86 (with the 86 chassis).<\/p>\n<p>The 511 series chas\u00adsis and the 86 chas\u00adsis also shared the same low\u00adboy (with the drop-down door) and high\u00adboy cab\u00adi\u00adnets used dur\u00ading the pre\u00adced\u00ading six months.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Model_Index\"><\/span>Model Index<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The fol\u00adlow\u00ading mod\u00adels remained in the Philco line\u00adup: 511, 531, 551.
