{"id":793,"date":"2017-02-12T20:41:29","date_gmt":"2017-02-12T20:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lostlacquer.site\/?page_id=793"},"modified":"2017-02-12T20:41:29","modified_gmt":"2017-02-12T20:41:29","slug":"1931b","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/philcoradio.com\/gallery2\/1931b\/","title":{"rendered":"June 1931"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Philco for 1931 (introduced June&nbsp;1931)<\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Overview\"><\/span>Overview<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Philco line was great\u00adly expand\u00aded for 1931-32 and now includ\u00aded two bat\u00adtery mod\u00adels, two DC-only mod\u00adels, and quite a few <span class=\"caps\">AC<\/span> mod\u00adels from 7 to 11 tubes includ\u00ading two radio-phono\u00adgraphs and even a chair\u00adside&nbsp;model.<\/p>\n<p>Ini\u00adtial\u00adly, all of the new Philco mod\u00adels were super\u00adhetero\u00addynes except for the <span class=\"caps\">TRF<\/span> Mod\u00adel 46, which was a DC-only set. (Inci\u00adden\u00adtal\u00adly, the 46 Baby Grand was the only mod\u00adel car\u00adried over from March&nbsp;1931.)<\/p>\n<p>Four new Philco cab\u00adi\u00adnets (112 low\u00adboy, 112 high\u00adboy, 212 radio-phono\u00adgraph, and 370 Lazy\u00adboy) were designed by the famous indus\u00adtri\u00adal design\u00ader, Nor\u00adman Bel Ged\u00addes. These cab\u00adi\u00adnets car\u00adried a spe\u00adcial decal inside with a styl\u00adized <span class=\"caps\">NBG<\/span> on the left side, and which stat\u00aded, \"This cab\u00adi\u00adnet designed by Nor\u00adman Bel Geddes.\"<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Model_Index\"><\/span>Model Index<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The fol\u00adlow\u00ading March 1931 mod\u00adel remained in the Philco line\u00adup: 46 Baby Grand.
