Philco for 1935 (introduced June 1934)<\/h2>\n

<\/span>Overview<\/span><\/h3>\n

For the first time, Philco referred to its mod\u00adel year as being the fol\u00adlow\u00ading cal\u00aden\u00addar year. These new \"1935\" mod\u00adels were intro\u00adduced to its deal\u00aders in May 1934, and to the pub\u00adlic in June 1934.<\/p>\n

With four mod\u00adels car\u00adried over from Jan\u00adu\u00adary 1934, Philco's mod\u00adel line\u00adup was up to 51 dif\u00adfer\u00adent radios for a poten\u00adtial radio pur\u00adchas\u00ader to choose from.<\/p>\n

The fol\u00adlow\u00ading mod\u00adels remained in the Philco line\u00adup: 54C<\/span>, 60L<\/span>, 84B<\/span>, 505L<\/span>. All oth\u00ader 1933-34 Philco mod\u00adels were discontinued.<\/p>\n

As may be seen here, ini\u00adtial pro\u00adduc\u00adtion of the new 60 Baby Grand sets used the old\u00ader 1933-34 escutcheon which had the PHILCO<\/span> trade\u00admark embossed into the met\u00adal and no decal. Lat\u00ader pro\u00adduc\u00adtion 60B<\/span> sets used a bake\u00adlite escutcheon with the PHILCO<\/span> decal between the dial and the tun\u00ading knob.<\/p>\n
