Many of the new mod\u00adels adopt\u00aded either escutcheons or com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion escutcheons\/grilles made with Ten\u00adite, which shrinks over time and has caused many 1941 (and 1942) mod\u00adels to become less than attrac\u00adtive as a result. For\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly, there is a repro\u00adduc\u00adtion escutcheon avail\u00adable for some of the more pop\u00adu\u00adlar mod\u00adels (see the Resources page for details).<\/p>\n<p>The portable mod\u00adels became lighter and more effi\u00adcient. Near\u00adly all mod\u00adels now includ\u00aded an improved loop anten\u00adna inside the cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>Philco's radio-phono\u00adgraph mod\u00adels no longer car\u00adried the Phono\u00adgraph with Philco name. In addi\u00adtion, the high\u00ader priced mod\u00adels con\u00adtained a new Philco inno\u00adva\u00adtion; a tone arm with a light bulb, a mir\u00adror mount\u00aded on top of the sap\u00adphire sty\u00adlus, and a pho\u00adto\u00adcell. The Beam of Light pick\u00adup was only used in 1941 and 1942 Philco models.<\/p>\n<p>Philco offered ten mod\u00adels in its Trop\u00adic line of export sets for 1941, which were now most\u00adly table models.<\/p>\n<p>A few new Philco Tran\u00adsi\u00adtone mod\u00adels were intro\u00adduced for 1941, along with four mod\u00adels car\u00adried over from 1940. Nev\u00ader\u00adthe\u00adless, Philco offered far few\u00ader Philco Tran\u00adsi\u00adtone mod\u00adels than they did in the pre\u00advi\u00adous season.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Model_Index\"><\/span>Model Index<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The fol\u00adlow\u00ading mod\u00adels con\u00adtin\u00adued in the Philco line\u00adup: <span class=\"caps\">PT-25<\/span>, <span class=\"caps\">PT-26<\/span>, <span class=\"caps\">PT-27<\/span>, <span class=\"caps\">PT-28<\/span>, <span class=\"caps\">RP-1<\/span> (as <span class=\"caps\">41-RP1<\/span>).
