Philco for 1954<\/h2>\n

The 1954 line of Philco radios began to shrink once again com\u00adpared to the pre\u00advi\u00adous year. The com\u00adpa\u00adny offered only one AM-FM<\/span> table mod\u00adel while con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading its empha\u00adsis on its \"Spe\u00adcial Ser\u00advices\" band (1.7 to 3.4 mc) in most of its table mod\u00adel sets and some portable models.<\/p>\n

This year, the mod\u00adel num\u00adbers no longer used the last two dig\u00adits of the mod\u00adel year as a pre\u00adfix. Instead, each 1954 Philco mod\u00adel num\u00adber began with the let\u00adter B, fol\u00adlowed by the actu\u00adal mod\u00adel num\u00adber of the set.<\/p>\n

Print\u00aded cir\u00adcuit boards were used for the first time in some 1954 Philco mod\u00adels. Philco called them print\u00aded wiring panels.<\/p>\n

For the first time since the 1948 sea\u00adson, Philco once again offered a high fideli\u00adty radio-phono\u00adgraph con\u00adsole - the Phono\u00adra\u00adma (B1756<\/span>), which includ\u00aded an AM-FM<\/span> radio and a three speed auto\u00admat\u00adic record changer.<\/p>\n
