Philco for 1955<\/h2>\n

<\/span>Overview<\/span><\/h3>\n

The 1955 line of Philco radios con\u00adtin\u00adued their evo\u00adlu\u00adtion into sim\u00adpler, func\u00adtion\u00adal appliances.<\/p>\n

No Philco table mod\u00adel radio includ\u00aded the FM<\/span> band dur\u00ading this sea\u00adson. In fact, Philco all but dropped the \"Spe\u00adcial Ser\u00advices\" band (1.7 to 3.4 mc) as only one 1955 portable mod\u00adel (C667<\/span>) could receive this band.<\/p>\n

FM<\/span> was avail\u00adable in the top of the line C1758<\/span> Phono\u00adra\u00adma high fideli\u00adty con\u00adsole radio-phonograph.<\/p>\n

An unusu\u00adal fea\u00adture was added to three new 1955 Philco portable mod\u00adels - a built-in flashlight.<\/p>\n

Philco also intro\u00adduced six portable phono\u00adgraphs for the 1955 sea\u00adson. This line of portable phonos would grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly increase over the next few years.<\/p>\n
