He&#8217;s got some Decca label 78 rpm records in his lap, and appears to be listening to them on his Philco 1201. By this time, Bing had already begun recording his new weekly Philco-sponsored radio series, Philco Radio Time, which made its debut on October 16, 1946 over the ABC network. It was the first pre-recorded network variety show.
