Oye, que buen trabajo, Se ve muy bien.
I am not sure Mershons were used on 80jr, but loos god anyway.
In the original state of the radio was the cable that makes the modification for amplification from the 1st valve to the central terminal of the volume. When reassembling the new wiring I've respected.
I note that the reception is very low and decided to check the wiring. I find that the connection is made in the second coil (No.1 picture) when it should be on point number two.
Should I change the connection?, Or the result will be the same?.
Did a nice job.
Someone here can probably tell you an answer to your question. I'm not sure myself. Maybe post the schematic.
You did a great job on that! The chassis looks new
Hi Pillo 69
A belated welcome to you. The volume control on your model 80 isn't really a volume control. It does not connect to the audio stages, in your case the 42 tube. It connects to the antenna and regulates the amount radio frequency (RF) signal that goes into the mixer tube. The audio stage is set to operate max volume all the time. I would rewire it
to agree with the schematic. On some of these sets there is a gimmick capacitor (2 wires twisted together but NOT connected electrically) Repocate that also for best performance.
Nice job on the set!!

Thank you very much everyone.
Restoring the've been able to make thanks to the forum, directly or by following the links recommended.
The cable that originally had (Photography) was connected properly, allowing for the "trick" of amplification.
To tune in stations I connect a TV antenna amplifier. I want to try a small amplifier antenna, used in vehicles.
A greeting.
José
WOW !
Very nice job. Congratulations !
