Hello. Well I believe I blew it with my 46-480. I'm new to this and made a beginners mistake. When I replaced a bunch of wiring in the chassis I didn't pay attention to original wire lengths. Just gauge and composition, (stranded/solid). I also replaced the original electrolytics with new ones and mounted those inside the chassis and wired according to location and tried to keep things neat. Now I have a terrible oscillation problem. The whole radio vibrates. Well not that bad but it is bad. No humming from the speaker though. I just bought a freq. generator and a counter for performing my own alignments and now I would like to purchase an o-scope which will be very handy for isolating this oscillation problem and making necessary repairs. Can you please recommend an oscilloscope that would best work with these old radios. I see alot of them on e-bay but don't really know what I need as far as MHz. There are 400MHz scopes and 50MHz scopes. A recommendation would be great. Thanks much!
