I have my console up and running and it sounds great!  The record changer works great as well, but every couple records, it plays the record for about an inch into the song's grooves and then lifts the arm and drops the next record, and then repeats.

I believe I know the issue...under the turntable, there is an arm attached to the tone arm with a pivoting post.  The post drags along the upper contact of the reject / reset solenoid and, when it reaches the end grooves, should push down on the contact to initiate the solenoid to reset the tone arm and drop the next record.  I watched the post and as it gets about an inch deep into the records' grooves, the post just touches the contact and you can see a small spark, which activates the solenoid.

From what I've read, the post should have rubber on it.  There are no traces of rubber on the post (nor on the spare parts one I have), but since there is a spark activating the solenoid, it must need to be coated.  I was thinking of using liquid electrical tape to coat the base of the post to insulate it.  Any thoughts?
I was thinking some small rubber tube to fit over the post would last better.. that or maybe shrink tubing on the post..
