You're doing great! Keep it up. Reminds me of a neglected water-soaked 90 I redid years ago.
Making progress btwn. wind and high temps and humidity I got it this far. No toner yet. Should be getting the base trim for Steve Davis tomorrow.
Looking fantasmic!
I got mine today and cant wait to dig in like you have!
Only 40 or so cabinets to get done before it,
Me
You are the king of getting them cabinets done. If you get time post a pic or two of the one you just got looked like a good one for restoration.
Just a quick update on this one. Slowly getting there as the temp and humidity let me work on it.
Nice.
Now the knobs
Thanks Mike. Yes I have to look around, I think I have a couple of the type for it. Been focusing on the chassis also got it recapped and playing on the bench. But I had to buy an universal P-P output tranny and adapt it to a model 20 speaker.
The one on my speaker was half open.
Had to do the same on a 20 and 90.
Getting closer to being done with this one.
Think I need more toner around the front and above the fluted coulombs also need to paint the inner grill trim black.
Comments on that appreciated.
I had to make a backer board for the grill cloth and used the cardboard out of an three ring binder.
Before
After.
Looks gorgeous, Mike! The 90 redux!
Great save!
Thanks guys. Still would like anyone's opinion on weather I should add more toner to the trim above the front arch and the horizontal pieces above the fluted coulombs.
I am going to criticize your work for the betterment of your skills...
I am not sure of the toner but in the grooves of the columns it does not look even.
Are they just dents in the columns? I would definitely touch that up if it is not a strait line in each one..
I also see a paint fleck?
It is on the arch to the left in the picture...
Pick it out with a dental pick and color it...
MMMeee,,thinks it looks Fantastic,,,Cheers to that
